Affiliate Disclosure

Here’s how Sky is Good (Mostly) makes money, so you can decide how much weight to give my opinions.

Affiliate links

Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. I write about things because I actually use them, like them, or have opinions about them. Sometimes I have a lot of opinions. Commissions don’t change what I say, and I’ll tell you when something is mediocre or bad.

Posts that contain affiliate links include a short disclosure near the top of the post or right next to the links, so you don’t have to come back to this page to find out.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Sky is Good (Mostly) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. This affiliate advertising program lets sites earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com.

Family connection to Amazon (please read)

My wife, Ruby, works at Amazon. I’m telling you this because a family connection to a company could reasonably affect how you weigh what I say about it. Amazon doesn’t pay me to write about its products, and it doesn’t review or approve my posts. My opinions are my own, not Ruby’s and not Amazon’s. Even so, you deserve to know about the connection. Whenever I review or recommend an Amazon-made product (Kindle, Echo, Ring, and so on) or link to Amazon, I’ll mention this connection in that post.

Other affiliate programs

I may also join other affiliate programs, such as other retailers or brands. The same rules apply: links that earn me a commission will be disclosed in the post where they appear.

Free products, sponsorships, and other perks

  • If a company gives me a product for free, lends me one, pays me, or gives me anything else of value to review or mention it, I’ll say so clearly in that post. I’ll name who gave it to me, for example: “XYZ sent me this for free to review.”
  • Sponsored posts will be clearly labeled “Sponsored by [Brand]” or “Ad.”
  • If I bought something with my own money, I’ll usually say that too.

Display ads

The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense and possibly other ad networks. Advertisers don’t choose what I review or what I say about it. Ads are shown separately from my writing. See my Privacy Policy for how ad cookies work.

Honest opinions only

Everything here reflects my real experience and opinions. I won’t claim I’ve used something I haven’t, or call something great when I think it’s just okay. Your results may differ from mine.
