It was raining in Seattle. Of course it was raining. It’s Seattle.
The subject was born in Korea. Over a decade in the US now. Known associates: one dog. One Cybertruck. Also a team of AI bots, which is not a sentence I expected to put in a case file.
For years he wrote essays in Korean on a blog called Tistory. Now those essays are coming back, in English. Someone is retelling them, one at a time. Motive unclear.
Exhibit A. A ramen review. Five stars for the broth. He calls it his “lifetime ramen” and says one pack was never enough. I believe him.
Exhibit B. An old backyard tree, rotten inside. Three quotes to take it down: $6,500, $4,500, $2,000. Same tree. Very different opinions. He sent it off with a glass of soju anyway.
Exhibit C. A push-up plan that starts with exactly one push-up. He calls this willpower. Could be. Could also be a very smart excuse.
Exhibit D. A note from 2023, worried that ChatGPT would make people stop thinking. Today he works with a team of AI bots. I wrote that one down twice.
I followed this guy for days. Every clue, same keyboard.
Then I checked the byline.
The detective? Him. The suspect? Also him. The same guy who keeps putting “Mostly” after “Good.”
Sky is good. Mostly.
